Once again, it's time for the SAWS Challenge! For 2008 our longtime sponsor Great Escape Games has generously offered to host the tournament at their new location. No more splitting the games up into multiple rooms!
No more last-minute runs down the street to buy that tape measure, glue or box of dice you forgot to pack! No more dealing with hotel staff who don't know how to set up a game table!!!

Schedule of confirmed Demo/Participation
Games:
Friday 5pm - Midnight: Flames of War Tournament! Early or Mid-War armies, 1500 pts, 3 rounds, prizes for first - third places, and Players Choice. Prizes are sponsored by Great Escape Games. This is an open event, with an entry fee of $10 for folks who are not registered for the SAWS challenge. To register for this tournament, click here and send an email to Mark Havener.
5pm - Midnight: War Machine Tournament! 750 pts, Hordes or Warmachine armies are okay, each player needs two army lists with the same caster, and three custom scenarios will be used. Prizes are sponsored by Great Escape Games. This is an open event, with an entry fee of $10 for folks who are not registered for the SAWS challenge. To register for this tournament, click here and send an email to Mark Havener.
5pm - Midnight: Battle for Middenheim! For those who want to play Warhammer but want something a little more exciting than random pick-up games, SAWS will be running a large-scale battle, using the Legendary Battles Rules from White Dwarf 339. You can download them here. Bring a 1500-pt force and help attack (or defend) the town of Smallhof in the Empire, straight out of the annals of history (from the incursion represented
by the Storm of Chaos worldwide campaign). If we get enough players, we'll also set up a second table to represent the attack on Boven.
All participation games are open to all tournament participants, and
miniatures are provided for demo games! You'll have to bring your own army for tournaments or the Battle for Middenheim though! Space may be limited for certain events
however, so if you are interested in a particular participation
game, contact Mark Havener (mark.havener@eds.com) and let him
know!
