THE SAWS CHALLENGE V! SEPTEMBER 17-19, 2004!

The general rules for the tournament are straightforward. You must use the same army for each game. The 6th edition set of rules must be used. Furthermore, contestants should know that this tournament is for fun, and that poor sportsmanship will not be tolerated.

  1. You must create your army using the appropriate 6th edition Warhammer Armies book, Ravening Hordes, or the most updated lists in the Warhammer Annuals or Chronicles.

  2. You must bring a 2,250-point force using the standard 2,250-point force restrictions.

  3. What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG). If a model is armed with an item, it must be shown on the figure. Models for army list choices that are not available must be converted. If you are in any way in doubt about whether your conversion or scratch built piece might not be acceptable please contact us before the tournament. We don't want someone to show up with something they can't use!  This tournament will have a painting score so painted models are recommended.  You may use non-Games Workshop models in this tournament.

  4. You may NOT use Special Characters.

  5. Rules Clarifications from the Warhammer Annuals, Chronicles and White Dwarf will be in use.

  6. You must conduct yourself in a manner that will not bring our  hobby into disrepute.

  7. You must bring all materials needed to play including dice, measuring device, templates, models, and any rules that you will be using.

  8. Warhammer Annual 2002 will be in use. In addition, Warhammer Chronicles 2003 will be in use with the following exceptions: rules marked “Optional,” “not official,” or for War of the Beard will not be in use.

  9. The following publications and articles will be in use:

    • All released Army Books

    • Ravening Hordes for armies without released army books or an updated White Dwarf article.

    • Armies from released Campaign Books (e.g. Storm of Chaos, Lustria), removing any requirement to take a Special Character, as Special Characters are not allowed in this tournament. So you may bring the Rest Host of Tehenhauin or the Bubonic Court of Nurglitch, but you must leave Tehenhauin or Nurglitch at home.

    • Warhammer Chronicles 2003 except the following articles:
      Goblin Ecology
      Any articles on Special Characters

    • Warhammer Annual except the following articles:
      The Big Bash
      War Hydras of Naggaroth
      Any articles on Special Characters

    • White Dwarf Articles
252- Ravening Hordes update (Chaos Dwarfs)
      258- Dark Elf Watchtower army
